Help Bring Hope to DRPLA Patients in Hawaii!

Join Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience Foundation and n-Lorem Foundation in our mission to assist patients diagnosed with Dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy (DRPLA), a progressive brain disorder causing involuntary movements, mental challenges, and cognitive decline.

DRPLA can strike at any age, robbing individuals of their independence and quality of life. With an average onset age of 30 and a lifespan of only 8-16 years post-symptom onset, the urgency to find effective treatments is paramount.

n-Lorem specializes in developing personalized therapies for nano-rare diseases, like DRPLA, which affect fewer than 30 individuals globally with the same genetic mutation. In partnership, we’ve identified a patient in the Hawaiian community who urgently needs our assistance.

While n-Lorem generously covers the drug costs, additional care and treatment expenses not covered by insurance must be addressed. Your support will help provide vital resources to this patient and pave the way for future treatments.

This groundbreaking initiative marks the world’s first experimental treatment for DRPLA patients, utilizing an “n-of-1” approach. The Hawaiian patient, known as n2 or patient number 2, will be the second in the world to receive this life-changing therapy.

By rallying together, we can bring hope to DRPLA patients in Hawaii and beyond. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Let’s make strides towards a future where DRPLA is no longer a sentence but a treatable condition.

Join us in this journey of hope and healing. Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of those affected by DRPLA.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
